themoviedoc:

toy story 3 ending

Unlike some of their competitors, Pixar always understood the value of storytelling. Their movies are not only highly entertaining, but they also send you on an emotional journey.

Toy Story 3 is quite spectacular that way and Lee Unkrich must be pulling the right strings, because most of…

“Dreamer” Pt 1 a piece from my short story

The family of the departed have already filled the church. Their cries of despair can be heard from beyond the stained glass windows of the cathedral. The family members line up to the casket to pay their respects to the deceased while  a man dressed in black shoes and a  dusty gray suite he has a rather quaint look to him. He sits in the back of the church watching. With a deep breath and, a smile he leaves his seat and moves down the isle of the funeral home. He stops next to a  homely young man who from the looks of it has begun to cry.

The stranger speaks with a raspy voice

“ Young man. Are you alright?”

“NO! Do I look like I’m okay?”

The young man tilts his head back and rubs the tears from his eyes. The stranger sits beside him and reaches into his coat pocket. He pulls out a pocket watch checks the time. The young man dries his eyes and looks at the stranger and speaks to him in a broken voice.

“Why- are you here?”

“Why I have ties to this family my boy. But the real question is why are you hear?”

The look on the young mans face became very puzzled and  lost.

“I…uh…I”

The stranger gives the young man an eerie grin as he looks at him he then slams his watch shut and startles the young man. The stranger sits next to him  and continues his affixed gaze down the isle of the funeral home. The young man regains his composure as he turns to look at the stranger.

“Who are you? I don’t remember seeing you at the wake”

“I was there, you didn’t see me”

“No I would remember someone like yourself“

The stranger faces the young man and begins to smile. The young man looks at the stranger  more clearly now. His face is old and his hands are boney, his hair is thin and gray The clothes that he is wearing look rather tattered and worn. Everything about the man seems to be very decrepit.  He turns his head in disgust and faces the casket.

The stranger faces the casket along with the young man.

“Do you want to hear a story?”

“What? I don’t even know you, and as of right now I don’t like you, so the answer is no”

The young man gets up and begins to walk away until he is stopped by the strangers hand on his shoulder as the stranger leans into his ear to whisper a secret in his ear.

“I know how they died”

The young man turns and moves away from the stranger.

“What? There’s only one body”

I really want to know how many Old Hollywood fans there are on Tumblr. I usually don’t post or reblog these kinds of posts, but I’m honestly just curious and want people who love Old Hollywood (and only those who LOVE it) to reblog.
